A Stellar Rosé With A Planetary Purpose: Château Galoupet Launches G De Galoupet 2024 At Jikoni
Château Galoupet brought Provençal panache to Marylebone last week, debuting G de Galoupet 2024 and Cru Classé 2024 at an intimate tasting hosted at Jikoni - London’s first independent carbon-neutral restaurant.
Led by Estate Director Mathieu Meyer and Managing Director Nadine Fau, the afternoon unfolded over a tasting that gave a full complement of Press the opportunity to sample individual plot vinifications - each a building block in Galoupet’s signature blends - before exploring the finished products, including a flight of Cru Classé back vintages.
Jikoni’s vibrant, sustainability-led menu by Chef Ravinder Bhogal was a natural partner for Galoupet’s eco-conscious approach. Championing low-impact viticulture, biodiversity, and innovation from soil to bottle, Galoupet’s values found a perfect culinary match. Dish highlights included prawn toast scotch egg with banana ketchup and pickled cucumber, and paneer gnudi with spinach and wild garlic saag.
The verdict? A tasting that was as thoughtful as it was flavourful and a rosé with purpose in every pour. AR
