Veuve Clicquot Gets Personal This Valentine’s & Mother’s Day

Veuve Clicquot - the House that pioneered the Rosé d’Assemblage style we know today - has unveiled its 2017 limited edition, customisable gift box for Valentine’s and Mother’s Day.

Madame Clicquot was the first Champagne producer to break away from the tradition of adding an elderberry-based preparation to create blended Rosé Champagne in 1818 when she blended some of her Bouzy red wines with her Non-Vintage Cuvée to make the first ‘Rosé d’Assemblage’.

I Just Clicq’Called…

Available to buy from department stores and e-tailers including Selfridges  (RRP £59.99), ‘Clicq’call’ takes the concept of personalised gift messaging to new heights by allowing Consumers to pre-record a voicemail style message for recipients to hear when they open the gift box.

About Veuve Clicquot Rosé

Made from 50 to 60 different crus, the cuvée is based on Brut Yellow Label’s traditional blend: 44 to 48% Pinot Noir, 13 to 18% Meunier and 25 to 29% Chardonnay.  The blend includes a particularly high percentage (25 to 35%, sometimes 40%) of reserve wines originating from several harvests (usually 5 or 6), which ensures the consistency of the house style.  The reserve wines, some of which are 9 years old, are kept separately depending on the origin of the crus and the years in which the wines were produced.  The blend is completed with 12% of red wines, using red fruit especially cultivated and selected to give a marvellous balance to this rosé.
