Luke Donald Collection Chardonnay 2010 (RRP £24.99 www.cellarviewines.com)

The Chardonnay grape is classically associated with Burgundy. A light straw yellow colour, this Chardonnay comes from a vineyard facing San Pablo Bay, in Napa's cool Carneros region, where the hot days and cold nights translate into a good level of balancing acidity in the wine. Caramel and apple notes can be found on the nose, with clean stone flavours on the palate and hints of vanilla and honey.

Luke Donald Collection Claret 2009 (RRP £30 www.cellarviewines.com)

The grapes used in crafting the Luke Donald Claret are 100% Napa Valley fruit, primarily sourced from the renowned Rutherford and Stags Leap districts. This Claret-style wine - which Luke Donald finds reminiscent of the character of Bordeaux - displays aromas of black fruit with spicy notes. This is a well-balanced wine, with layers of different flavours including black cherry and plums.
